When Cavalia was in town a colleague asked me how the horses travel between shows. By aeroplane, of course. In air stalls! They were surprised to learn this but horses have been flying for many years. Here’s a closer look at the process, including details about baggage allowances, in-flight meals & drinks, and in-flight wear!
Right now, as I prepare for a 6+ hour flight, I wish I had the option of travelling horse-class. With a partial wall between neighbours, a 40-inch wide stall vs. an 18-inch wide seat, and unlimited hay, it sounds much more civilized than economy class!
